Gender Bias — Definitely: Part Nine (Delegation)

March 14th, 2013

In honor of the separation of church and state, let us press toward understanding our place in the state, as separate from the church. We want to do this because we need to understand that there is a measure of gender bias that is prescribed for the state, as well as for the church. Looking at the early days in the Old Testament, it is easy to see the gender bias that is a sure part of God’s Design. To prevent you from accusing me of narrow vision, let me say that everything that happens, and that has happened, or that will happen, in this world, is because the LORD included it in the Design for this world. These are His words on that matter.

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

(Isaiah 45:5-8)

That Scripture lets us say that, in the time of the Old Testament, it is no accident that a certain gender was put in the place of being the rule-maker king–with some associates that are provided by the LORD. Therefore, since the associates are of the LORD, we know that the associates are not impotent. To be the king is not to be the sole power source; God-given associates are a necessary part of any kingdom. Consider this other power source that was unleashed in the kingdom of Egypt.

The Power of Something from Nothing: Part Four (Direct Spawns of The One)

March 4th, 2013

We have established a foundation for accepting that there is only ONE something from nothing; which we refer to as, The First Cause–but more commonly as, Creativity. Now, we need to start looking at matters from a somewhat selfish perspective; after all, we do want to continue to live in the space that was set out by Creativity. Of course, we respect and revere Creativity, but, still; potentiality does not put bread on the table, or secure a place for us in life. This is the underlying thought that filled this statement of a certain early man, Abram, as he heard about a gift of great potentiality that he had been given.

After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

(Genesis 15:1-3)
Abram was indicating that he recognized the gift of potentiality, and that he recognized that the gift was the possibility of something from the nothing; which, gift, he presently had in his possession. Even so, Abram wanted the gift to manifest itself as an activity of, something from something (actuality). Yes, this was already complete in the microcosm of promise.

To assist the people of Israel, on their way to a more stable understanding of the mission that the LORD was burning into the fabric of their culture; the LORD sent them some assistance. It is worth noting that the LORD did not punish their ignorance by neglecting them. God did not say, of the people; that they would just have to return to the law of Moses, and do their best to re-establish their devotion to it. As before, with the priests and prophets, the LORD sent them assistance. To appreciate this assistance, let us go back to the time that it first appeared, in the time of Moses. Actually, we will show that it appeared in two parts: one political and the other spiritual. The political part is seen in this communion that occurred between two servants of God.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening. And when Moses’ father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?

And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God: When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.

And Moses’ father in law said unto him,

The thing that thou doest is not good. Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone. Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee:

Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God: And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do. Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.

(Exodus 18:13-22)

The spiritual part is seen in this communion among several servants of God, and the LORD, as negotiated on the nation’s behalf by Moses.

The Power of Something from Nothing: Part Three (Only ONE Something from Nothing)

February 11th, 2013

Definable: No

Understandable: Yes

Procedure: Component Analysis

Process: Self-Introduction

Tool: Revelation

Intermediate: God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (Acts 17:24-28) The preceding words may give one the impression that the search is bottom-up, so to speak: this is not how it happens. In our journey to any little bit of understanding of the only ONE something from nothing, we are limited to having the tool of revelation thrust into our life space: we are the recipients of the process: we are not its author. This is the same tool that all other scientists have employed, throughout our existence. For instance, we did not search out the sun’s rays; rather, the sun’s rays came to us. Then, along with the sun’s rays came a few other revelations. Here is a random sample of the introductions that were done by the sun’s rays: IlluminationHeat

Cold (which is defined as being the absence of heat), with its associate, discomfort

The utility of brightness, along with, the relative restrictions of extreme darkness

Photosynthesis

Curing of products

Solidifying of certain substances and liquefaction of others

Various forms of burning.

Through that one thing, we received all those introductions, and more. We are dependent on the introductions that reality makes; this is immutably true. This does not mean that we are restricted to those introductions; for, we, humans, have an almost unique capability to fashion broad-based introductions, of our own making. For me, this is summarized in these words.

Gender Bias — Definitely: Part Seven (Crossroad at Dependence)

January 31st, 2013

There is a current debate about the reach of democracy, as pertains to its extension into the military. One of the things that are pushing its way into the foreground of political consideration is whether democracy must be restrained in that environment. Those who present the historical view have stated that, for a goodly part of its history, democracy was not a part of the military. This is true. It is especially true of the development of the nation of Israel, as it is recorded in the Bible. Let us take a look at that, for a moment.

In the Bible, the children of Israel were not consulted as to their participation, or not, in the military. At the first points of progress toward becoming a nation, the LORD instituted a practice that involved almost automatic drafting into the military, as we see here.

And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls; From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

(Numbers 1:1-3)

The militaristic mind set of the nation of Israel was not limited to the general population; it was also a part of the religious conduct of the priests. In a certain episode of the priests’ history, they showed that they, too, were called to adopt a military attitude about the purity of their service to the LORD. There was a time in the reign of king Uzziah, when the LORD moved powerfully in the king . . .

But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

The Power of Something from Nothing: Part Two (Spawned Wisdom)

January 21st, 2013

As we sit at the point of nothingness, there is only one thing that can start existence: wisdom. However, wisdom itself needs to be spawned. This is a complex matter of total containment. In the beginning, the total containment of the force of Creativity also included the protocol for developing the tool to manage Creativity. Let us step back just a little, so that we can see the necessity for this progression. To do that, consider this statement by some of our scientists:

The second law of thermodynamics states that any process in a closed system will increase the entropy of the closed system. If a system is not closed, any process will increase the total entropy of the universe. The entropy of the universe can never decrease. For now, let us take that as being true. Also, let us summarize it, as indicating that this is the movement of the universe toward increased chaos. For a thing to be tending toward chaos, it must be moving away from order. Therefore, implicit in that statement is the thought that existence started at order: this is in total agreement with both the tone, and the text, of the Bible. From the Bible, this is the description of the first Absolute Order that existed.

In the beginning God. . .

(Genesis 1:1a)
The additional portion of that verse tells us about the function and purpose of Order. . . .created

. . .

(Genesis 1:1b)
For completion sake, we include the portion that; though it was originally order-filled, it was also developed as the thing that could move away from order.

Gender Bias — Definitely: Part Six (Necessary Differentiation)

January 10th, 2013

Now, let us depart from the middle ground–the cities of refuge–and return to the pure poles of coordination of human behavior: the church, and the state. Here, we will become somewhat lazy in our linguistics. Here, we will start to use the word, government, as being synonymous with the state. This is lazy because the church is also a government. Though, in truth, the church is not just a government; it is the Government, and its Head is the Godhead of Existence; including, all its worlds. The LORD introduced this differentiation to the judge of Israel, Samuel, as Israel opted for an earthly head of state.

Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

.    But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.

And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

.    Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and show them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.

(1 Samuel 8:4-9)

Whereas the Government is a straightforward and easily perceived entity; the governments of the world (both individually and collectively) are not. Therefore, here are two layered sets of Scripture that gives us a frame of reference, by which we can understand the Government and governments, better.

The Power of Something from Nothing: Part One (Potentiality)

December 30th, 2012

That there is something indicates that there was something else before it. This thought has prevailed for the entire span of human life on this earth, and possibly even beyond that. We hedge on that point because there is no consensus as to whether the beasts of the earth, or the vegetation, have ever pondered the before-after concept; as in, thinking. For the humans, though, there is much contemplation about what came before what is. Let us assign the word, spawning, to that discipline.

In the discipline of spawning, there is a prior for every current. That is, there is a prior for every current except for the first prior. The way scientists refer to this is as the origin of the universe. However, the origin of the universe does not say that the substance from which the universe arose is the first prior. To come closer to addressing the first prior, scientists are on a search for the, as they call it, god particle. However, even when the god particle is found; still, there is no guarantee that this is indeed the God particle. To find the God particle, we need to enter the mindset that was presented by one of the New Age apostles of the recognized Prophet of God, Jesus Christ. The words of that apostle are as follows:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.       Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Hebrews 11:1-3) If this is true, then the first prior is not of a substance that we could ever discover with our various eyes. These various eyes include our sight, our cognition, our intention, and, even, our guesses. This is so because whatever we find will be something that appears. Therefore, once it is found, then the thing that came from it did indeed come from something that appears.

Gender Bias — Definitely: Part Five (Restricted Control)

December 20th, 2012

As we project our praise to the women, for the effort that they put forth; let us not try to remove the order that the LORD placed in the world. By this we mean that we must not press our gifts of gratitude into the position of replacing the stated directions that the LORD sent through the world, as they pass through the church. This caution persuades us that we must maintain some sort of compartmentalization of church and state. In that portion of our relationship with God, Moses and Aaron are a key example. The LORD set up their environment of church-state separation, here.

And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons. And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.

(Exodus 28:1-2)

To ensure the independence of the priesthood (the church), the LORD provided for their support as an entity that is independent of the provision for the support of the state. (Please note that, at this time, they depended on the enforcement power of the state, in Moses.)

Kingdom of God: Part Nineteen (Personalized)

December 10th, 2012

To come closer to a person relationship with God, in the Kingdom of God, we need to listen. Once we have listened, then we need to absorb the message. And once we have absorbed the message, then we need to personalize it for our unique relationship with the Father, and with His Son. A certain woman of the day of Jesus caught the understanding of this need, and she acted upon it. This woman acted upon the need, even though her sister criticized her for doing so.

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

(Luke 10:38-42)
Then, once we have listened to the LORD and to His Son; after it has been absorbed, we need to be open to the intervention that has been placed in the kingdom of man as an extension of grace from the Kingdom of Heaven; particularly, as comes to us through so great a cloud of witnesses. It was placed in our existence for our continued personal development in the Kingdom of God. As the Scripture tells us . . .
