For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged:

and with what measure ye mete,

it shall be measured to you again.

Matthew 7:2

In the matter of the judgment of mankind, it is not within our power to logically convert the people who have locked their course in a direction that is proceeding away from the way of the LORD. Indeed, even Scripture may be ineffective in bringing about this change: If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Nevertheless, regardless of the distance of drift; once we repent, and return to the way of the LORD, we will not be rejected; the LORD will accept us.

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?(Ezekiel 18:21-23) . . .

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Galatians 6:1

Longsuffering

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As we rest in this, the new dispensation of God, it is well for us to cleave to these words of the LORD.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.~~~Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal.~~~Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal.~~~O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal? Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?  For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.(Ezekiel 18:20-32)
What’s the harm?
If one accepts the conclusion that Scripture does not categorize a pre-born, developing human, as having the spark of life, necessarily, and that Scripture does not tell us how to determine when a developing embryo is under God’s protection, and, therefore, must not be subjected to interference by any human; then, one may ask, “What is the harm of abortion?”
To answer that question, we need to return to the creation of mankind, as it is recorded in Genesis. In the Genesis account, we have the following process of, creation with empowerment.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.(Genesis 1:26-28)—-
As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit,
nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child:
even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
Specificity
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In one place, or another, we have criticized all behaviors that are done for convenience sake; especially, when those behaviors are represented as being in line with the will of the LORD. However, we are very careful in the use of the expression, for convenience sake, when we are considering an already fully active human life; because we have already stated that a living human woman or girl is a definite soul, whereas the result of conception still has an unknown part; particularly, in the matter of our understanding of the LORD’S activity in the womb. Therefore, because the impregnated woman is a known living soul, convenience is not an issue when the life of the woman is involved. Consideration for the life of the woman, is not a matter that is bound by rules of maturation, either; that is, it also includes the well-being of those young girls who are impregnated before they can withstand the rigors of pregnancy, while still living a healthy life.

The LORD demonstrated His great concern for the little ones, during Israel’s passage through the wilderness. In that case, God removed a mass of human impediment, which was attempting to block the prosperous development of the generation of the little ones.

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me, Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised.But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.(Numbers 14:26-32)~~~~~~– Read the complete portion seven – Layers of the Dilemma – _

Murder as God’s sees it

Below are a few of the references in Scripture that tell us how the LORD has described murder; as well as, how He reacts to the loss of life, under certain specific circumstances. I have no significant commentary for them; though, I will include a header to separate them. They are included for you to read through, as you allow the Spirit to channel your understanding.

Slayer versus murderer

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan; Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares. And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.And of these cities which ye shall give six cities shall ye have for refuge. Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may flee thither.

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ,

let us go on unto perfection;

not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, . . .

Hebrews 6:1

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is it murder?
There are two types of murder: one type is legal; the other type is spiritual. The designation of, legal murder, is a vaporous thing; with such expressions as, involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide, and even, mercy killing. The occurrence of spiritual murder is, generally, invisible. Spiritual murder occurs in such forms as, belittling children, character assassinations, and negative stereotypical labeling. These murders are invisible because there is no way to directly see the psychological tipping point, at which the spirit of a person moves from being bruised, to the place of being transported from the life of a human, to the place of animal behavior. Sodom and Gomorrah is an example of the latter place of spiritual death.
And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways.And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
Study to show thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
No help here —
There may be some thought that we have a ready Scripture to apply to the entities that are conceived in the womb. On occasion, the following Scripture is brought to the discussion.
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.    Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!    Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.    Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. .(Matthew 18:1-10)
But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
Luke 9:55
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Life begins at conception, or does it

 In the Genesis account of the creation of man, it is a two step process: the, breath, and, the, becoming.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.(Genesis 2:7)This is the first statement (and possibly the only one) where God Himself defines human life. Since it is the statement of God, as spoken by the Word of God; it should not be augmented by any type of logic of man. If there are other statements of the LORD God about the nature of life, then, these can be added to the first declaration. However, we must be careful about introducing logical deduction, or historical progression, into the definition. For instance, there is a Scripture that describes David’s conception. This Scripture seems to indicate that David had life before he was born. There is, though, no indication that this is the topic of the statement of David. At this time, he is just referring to his decadent state, as pertains to pure righteousness. Nothing more should be added to the thought; especially not, that there was a decadent spark of life in the pre-born time, in the womb experience, of David’s mother. To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.(Psalm 51:1-5)

Flow of Divine Interaction

If we were still in the state of being, in which we honored the full Law of God, we would not have to selectively pick topics to which we, then, apply weighted judgment. For God, there is no weighted judgment. The apostle James sums up the matter.

If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.(James 2:8-13)Our fixation on abortion is one of those topic-specific sins. We think that we can give ourselves a measure of nobility by applying heavy weight to those things that press the most grievously on the hearts of a certain critical mass of us. This is a man-centered approach to religion. This is not the way of the Living God. The Living God does not apply special categories to sin. In the way of the LORD, either it is sin, or it is not. If it is sin, it will attract a negative spiritual consequence, and may place us in the way of judgment. In the absolute application of the judgment of the LORD God, there is only one treatment that is applied to behavior that is right, in the LORD. But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman, And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment; He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.(Ezekiel 18:5-9)

Stages of the issue

Life is contained in the Living, as is illustrated in the sequence of events in the Bible that brought forth the start of life in mankind.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Consideration: In the actions of life, the first concern is for the entities that are living souls. A living mother should not be sacrificed for a pre-living embryo, which, though it may have a measure of life, has not been given the breath of life to bring it to the point of being a living soul.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Another consideration: definition of, life. For purposes of discussion, we will allow that an embryo has a portion of life. However, an embryo does not have human life, yet; because it is a unique category of existence. God described this as the first stage of a two-step process. It is the, fruitful, phase of human reproduction, as described in the commandment that we received at our creation.
