Preamble to the Christmas Testament

Monday, December 14th, 2020

Hello,

During the highly modified Thanksgiving season of the year 2020, I received an interesting text message from my nephew, in which he noted the “void of the pie”, as I call it.  This void existed because, with social distancing, we were not ‘permitted’ to congregation with others outside of our immediate circle.  This was, as you probably know, because we could not tell who might be harboring a certain unwelcome guest, unbeknownst to us even.  So, to keep our extended family members safe, we had to forego collective Thanksgiving.  I stopped and thought about the number of others who were missing a key part of their life, at this time.  Then as this was sinking in, another text came from my nephew.

In the next text, my nephew asked me to provide him with some Scripture or similar meditative writing to give some smoothness to the Pandemic time of 2020.  This request was linked in my mind to the feeling of the prior text.  It just so happened that, at this time the LORD had me in the process of producing a work that would give enhanced meaning to the student of the Bible.  So, it seems reasonable to share a small portion of the work that is in progress.  The part that seems reasonable for this time is the one that looks at the missing delicacy that we often take for granted in the run-up to the time of Christmas.  So, to you is released this Divine Culinary Delight that was put together for the release of the, as the world has come to know it to be, “The Greatest Story Ever Told”.

Therefore, I present to you and pray that you will find it nutritious and enjoyable to partake of this Preamble to the Christmas Testament.  As you go through your meditation on it, take the following with you.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.  Acts 17:11
