TO KNOW THE LORD GOD

==============================

The concept of the elect

the men which thou gavest me out of the world

them also which shall believe on me through their word

John 17:1-5

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

    I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Book Summary

The book of Revelation is often seen as primarily a treatise on the “time of the end” but it is much more. If viewed in its entirety and with prayerful understanding, the message of Revelation is the total picture of the salvation of man. Didn’t Go! is written to provide a progression from the creation of mankind to the end of mankind: this is what the book of Revelation discusses. It is the book that allows mankind to view itself from the “cradle to the grave”. Didn’t Go! is not just a book for mature Christians but for all religious people and for all who are serious about the discussion of the place of religion in the “kingdom of man.” It is not “heavy” theological reading, but it does require a serious attention to thought, not a cursory attachment to dogma.  Please evaluate and criticize this document as you will.

Why Stop Here!

PLEASE NOTE: You will find a fuller exploration of the following, in the books, “Reconciliation: The Children of Abraham,” and “The Great Consolidation: Reconciling the Family of God.”Christianity seems to be taking a brutal hit from the world, at this time. It seems that there is some fatigue about the message of the gospel, as delivered by much of the community of the ministers, priests, and other officials of the organized church. This is unfortunate. The message of the gospel as contained in the Bible, is a powerful tool for living. It is time that the undistilled message of the Gospel be presented to the world, in a modern format. Therefore, in this discourse we will be presenting discussions of Bible-based topics of religious living; with an emphasis on the Jewish and Christian traditions. There will also be some mention of those parts of Islam that pertain to the God of Abraham. In this blog, we study God as He is described in the Old Testament of the Bible. To use the words from a discussion between God and Moses: (more…)

expressing the Scriptures in life settings, and according to their challenges; beyond the milk of the word

Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying,These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things. And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people. And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. (Hebrews 6:1-3)
