kingdom of man (Religion – Focused)

February 15th, 2016

In the discussion of the span of, responsibility as it passes across the history of man, we referred to another level of responsibility: God’s Responsibility. This level is superior to man, and to the entire history of the kingdom of man–including that portion known as, the future.

We must say at the outset: this topic is, generally, uncomfortable for people to include in their meditations. We know that; it is somewhat difficult, for us to try to think of God as having limitations (gasp). Well . . . we are pulling you into that area of discomfort.

To begin, we say this:  we are persuaded that; surely, God invoked His Responsibility in the following event.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

(Genesis 1:1-3)

At that time, as God expressed His Productivity; thereby, He became Responsible for ensuring the Integrity of the new Creation–in its forward flow, through time. As we consider God’s Integrity, there is no need to feel uncomfortable about God’s Responsibility. The LORD God imposed Responsibility upon His Self-Spirit. This was done in that Pattern of Behavior in which God moved, here.

Election to Serve – Delicately (The Heart of Woman)

February 4th, 2016

As I read that Scripture, above, I had this contemporary thought: David was asking for welfare. In the modern day, this could be a reason to criticize him, for his lack of preparation. In this present day, responses such as that of Nabal are often accepted as being appropriate; especially, as far as his answer to the request for sustenance, to give it unto men, whom I know not whence they be. David could have been engaging in welfare fraud; couldn’t he? Nabal had a right–maybe even, a responsibility–to properly manage the distribution of his assets; didn’t he? Actually, he did; and, most definitely, his responsible behavior needed to include this consideration.

If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee. Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

(Deuteronomy 15:7-11)

As you study situations in life, such as this one; be sure to feel the Spirit. In Scripture, the Spirit identifies the spirit of the matter . . . as openly presented in lead-in statements about the environment and the characters that are in it. As you analyze your present situation, the Sprit will feed impressions to your spirit. For instance, the Spirit may feed you this impression of someone: the man was churlish and evil in his doings. This may come through, to your spirit, as a feed from your mind, along with the following possibility: if a person is too comparative about their own achievement, or boastful about their present lifestyle (which God can modify, in an instant); then, you may be witnessing this coming, life correction in waiting.

kingdom of man (Responsibility – Extended)

Here, I am reminded of this passage of Scripture.

Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

(Acts 17:29-31)

I want you to consider that Scripture, as being of broader application than, just for the time that is the revelation of Jesus Christ. I want you to think of that Scripture as being applicable to any time of transition that moves us from infant-like understanding, to the position of bearing responsibility for adherence to a known fact. Here, we are thinking about the transition that is described below.

Election to Serve – Delicately (Newness, Life Spawning)

January 14th, 2016

There is no need for any woman of God to ignore the majesty of her position in the LORD. The woman is the portal through which the LORD delivers new things; chief among which are, those ones that are in the category of, life spawning. For instance, this is one of the particularly significant appearances of such products.

Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.

(Numbers 27:1-4)

This action of those daughters brought about the first change in succession planning, as it was practiced among the Israelite line of the children of Abraham.

In the discussion of the transverse section for productivity, we included a pointer out of that section, into another. The specific pointer was the inclusion of this Scripture.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

(Proverbs 22:6)

That portion of Scripture indicates that; along with the need to bear fruit, we have an added requirement. Remember this Scripture?

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

(Genesis 1:28-30)

The transverse section of, productivity in the kingdom of man, only carries the first part of that God-given requirement. That section indicates the means by which we are fruitful, but it does not indicate what happens with the fruit of our productivity. So, we set our mind to filling in this portion of the God-given requirement: to multiply.

Collateral Damage and the Heart of God (Joint Heir)

December 14th, 2015

Previously, we reviewed a passage of Scripture that contains the following honorarium for mankind.

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

(Psalm 8:5)

Let us not be so quick in limiting our self to that honor, as being our upper boundary: there is a time when, we will rise above that status.

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

(2 Corinthians 5:1-4)

Okay; so, no one wants to wait until they are dissolved. So; we want to achieve oneness, now. Yes, this, too, is possible. In fact, this is beyond possible; it is an ordinance that was put in reality at the Beginning. The preface to that ordinance is seen in this event.

Election to Serve – Delicately (Quickening)

December 3rd, 2015

At the Beginning, shortly after Creation, the woman was forced into a prize fight, of sort.

Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

 (Genesis 3:1-3)

The “agent” that was negotiating for a certain recompense for the woman told her that she would have an impressive victory, with little work needed by her.

Collateral Damage and the Heart of God (One Blood)

November 23rd, 2015

One blood: in the modern day, the acceptance of this, as being a true definition for mankind, is not a common practice. One of the more common things to do is, to push against that perception, as being too limiting. Chief among the ways of pushing against that principle is, to define groups of people by using constraining titles: Arabs, Israelis, Palestinians, and so on. When we do this, we can, somehow, defy the fact of biology itself. In the extreme, when we do that, we can say that; these others are not worthy of life, at all. This kind of thinking brings sorrow to the heart of the servant of the LORD. An example of that type of sorrow is seen in the latter part of a certain event of the life of Elisha, the prophet. To give this context; here is the initial part of the event.

And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither. And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and inquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

 (2 Kings 8:7-9)

And, here is the latter part; which illustrates the sorrow of, understanding that there are people for whom, certain others’ lives are deemed as being a thing to discard.

kingdom of man (Productivity – Extended)

November 12th, 2015

As we have previously reported to you; the Adam track, in which our purpose traveled for a time, was obliterated by mankind’s substitution of its own design of the purpose for the kingdom of man. This was most unfortunate, in that; up to that point, thing had been going rather well . . . during the time that we were intent to travel this, the path of Adam . . .

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos:

then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

(Genesis 4:25-26)

From that point, we felt empowered and capable. That is not a bad thing: it is good for a child to experiment with the environment, eventually. This will introduce the child to the rigors of negotiating purpose. But, equally important in this time is; that, the parent provide a covering of example. For instance; rather than allowing a child to touch a smoldering ember, it seems reasonable to, instead, show the child what happens when an example touches such an ember. That display needs to be accompanied by this loving indication: that, surely, this will happen to the child, if they repeat that error. The love part is essential, and needs to be done in this spirit . . .

Collateral Damage and the Heart of God (Educated Sheep)

November 2nd, 2015

The apostle Peter was ordained as the first engine of the push for salvation of the world (however, he is not the only engine, nor is he the energy of the push). As in unity with others of his day, Peter stood at the core of the Christian faith. In the following recap of an early event of the life of the church of Christ, we see the central role that Peter fulfilled.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

(Acts 2:38-47)

The task that was set before the apostles is this: to prepare more educated sheep as to the core of worship of the Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The apostle Peter, as being one of the called apostles, needed to have a strong personal presence. In his place, as being, formerly, subjected to the practices of the temple; some of the direction of the newly acquired election to push Israel to the Gospel, would overrule things that he had been brought up to believe. Among the things that Peter had been taught is that; he needed to avoid potential violation of the law of Moses, as is described in this Scripture.
