Crashing with Adam (Revving the Engine)

January 23rd, 2014

The Premier Human Relationship–Adam and Eve–was not set in existence as by some accident, or, even, an arbitrary incident.  The Relationship did not spring fresh from nothingness . . . though; from our present perspective, we may assume that it must have.  In the present day, we account this relationship’s origin as coming from the god named, evolution.  But, the god named, evolution, has its origin in its maker.  We submit that; evolution’s maker is The Maker–or, more succinctly:  God.  We will use this designation, God, along with this other one:  the LORD.  This is, for us, our base assumption.  It is an assumption that has no possibility of proof; for, it operates in this other construct of reality.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  For by it the elders obtained a good report.  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

(Hebrews 11:1-6)

We attribute to God, the attribute of Personality; wherefore, we indicate that, God will commune with us.  Obviously, this communion cannot be subject to our terms.  Instead, this communion is orchestrated by God Itself.  By the way:  because we will rely on the Bible; therefore, the preceding neutral reference to God is the only gender neutral personal specification that we will apply to God, as we continue sharing our image of crashing with Adam.  In respect for the Bible, and to make it personal; we will refer to God in the masculine.  This is in keeping with this representation of His Self that is embedded in the following piece of the LORD’S communion with Israel.

Collateral Damage and the Heart of God (Teaching Ministry Pioneer)

January 13th, 2014

Consider this hypothetical situation that may not be so hypothetical:  you are allowed to proceed from death into the second birth, only to come face to face with those who you have prematurely removed from the earth (including, any ones that might have been removed at a time when they were able to become viable living souls, except for the intervention of abortion).  In such a situation; what crosses your mind?  Do you start in with some sort of apology?  No, this is not appropriate because; at that time, they do not have malleable feelings.  At that time, they are in the state that is described here.

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:  Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.  And last of all the woman died also.  Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.  For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

(Matthew 22:23-30)

At that time, the ones you see are as the angels of God in heaven.  Now, if this was an earthly situation, there would probably be some length of awkward silence.  In an earthly situation, one would hope that the offended one would be the first one to speak.  It might be desired, as toward the cause of this man’s death; that, they have the kind of attitude that was in Jesus, here.

Crashing with Adam (the distant son arrives)

January 2nd, 2014

“Really Grand dad, I’m home,” I said, as I entered the area.

Eve looked at me, grabbed my beard, and said, “Welcome, son.”

Adam looked at her, snapped a glare at me, and then expressed, without words, “And when did I do this?”  At this time, he was referring to me, somewhat menacingly.

I must have caught Eve at a very good moment because, she came to my defense.  “Adam, honey; you do remember saying this; don’t you?”

And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

(Genesis 3:20)

Adam shook his head; indicating, yes.  Though, Adam still had the look of, “So what does that have to do with anything.”

Collateral Damage and the Heart of God (Preparing for a Jump)

December 23rd, 2013

There is nothing in the Bible that says that, the Father God has to proceed immediately to relieve the suffering caused by those who maliciously violate His Law.  The offenders might receive a form of delay of recompense, such as the one that was done for those who are mentioned in the following Scripture.

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

(Mark 9:42)

In that recompense, the reputation was damaged, and there was associated disdain for that person; much like the disdain that is heaped on a child abuser.  Though; even if this was the final earthly state of their being, it need not be an eternal one.  Let us think about the place of the after-life, and the behavior of the mind of man in it.  We need to accept that; the mind of an individual, in some form, persists after the end of the earthly life.  This is a necessary attribute of man, if this Scripture is to have any meaning.

How Do You Know? Part Seven (For Life, Extended)

December 12th, 2013

Please consider the matter of lifestyle sacrifice, as you read the following Scripture:

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

(Philippians 3:7-15)

Maybe, it would be helpful if you fixed the mark in your mind, in this exercise, too; however, as pertains to marital unions of male and female, the mark is more on the natural level.  We say that, because; we think that, after rounding the bases of pursuit of one another . . .

Collateral Damage and the Heart of God (Reasoned Avoidance)

December 2nd, 2013

Our study of the allowances that have been established as shields, for our protection from our ignorance of the potential damage that is in our actions, takes us directly to this consideration:  What happens to the one who clearly causes the premature death of another soul?  The answer to that depends on their heart as toward their part in the thing that caused the death.  Here, we present this consideration . . .

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.  Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.  But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes.

For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

(Luke 12:42-48)

In the application of stripes; the LORD provided a means for preservation of the life of the one who caused death, while also sending a message to all who observed the recompense that was laid upon that one.  This is an ancient principle of; tailored service to the LORD.  At the Beginning, this event set up a requirement for such tailoring.

How Do You Know? Part Six (Feeling for Completion)

November 21st, 2013

Almost always, there is an intervening period during which the LORD clears away, so called, skeletons of the past.  Actually, it may be more appropriate to speak of it as being, a time for uncovering skeletons.  These may be as easily remedied as this:  the “toilet seat up, or down” issue.  It may be as complex as:  that, there is already a child (or more) on one side of the relationship.  Please think of this word, child, in its broadest sense.  For instance; a man who just must wash and wax the car by hand, has a “child”.

Generally, the thing that must be reconciled is of a sort that, it occupies the highest level of influence over your life.  Of course, this is exclusive of the LORD God, and excludes Him from ever being displaced from the Penthouse Level of your existence.  Let us explore that, for a moment.

The Penthouse Level of your existence is the place which is totally under the control of the LORD God.  In history, there has only been one time when the LORD authorized anything else to enter this area; and, it is this one . . .

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

(Revelation 3:19-21)

Other than allowing the Son of God into the highest area, we must exclude everything else from entering that space.   Moreover, even the Son is subject to the entry rules that are applied on us, by the LORD God, the Father.  In a portion of the writing of the apostle Paul, he describes this interaction between the Father God and the Son God.

Collateral Damage and the Heart of God (Establishing Allowances)

November 11th, 2013

In the matter of lack of awareness, some humbling study of the Scripture needs to be done because; it is easy for us to be aggressive and demanding about that requirement.  On that order; the statement, “ignorance is no excuse for the law,” keeps pressing itself on my mind.  So, I ask, “Wouldn’t this be a reasonable principle to overlay on the activity of God?”

Short answer:  No!

Larger answer:  It does not fit well with portions of the Law of God, as presented in that which was released as the law of Moses.

In a certain portion of the law of Moses, God presented a criterion for applying allowances for insufficiencies.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying,

If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:  If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.  And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD; and shall lay his hand upon the bullock’s head, and kill the bullock before the LORD.

(Leviticus 4:1-4)

Please note that; the criterion for applying allowances is not as open-ended as one might desire.  The thought may come to mind that; we can say we did not know, and, thereby, avoid discipline.  At best, that is a wish:  please, never forget the Judge that is watching.  Particularly, remember this, the indictment for this lapse of memory . . .

How Do You Know? Part Five (Evaluation)

October 31st, 2013

Relationship planning begins when there is an independent intercessor for the relationship.  Ideally, this is the same intercessor that is in the life of both, the man and the woman.  In this thought, I am reminded of the components of an arbitration intercessor.  In the case of arbitration, there is one party that is chosen by two sides of the arbitration, together, and there is one party, each, which is selected by the individual parties to the arbitration.  I think that this leads us to the following intercessor for both:  their pastor or other religious figure that accepts responsibility for both of them, as pertains to analyzing romantic potential and readiness.  This leaves the individual selection.  This is the best place to start that selective process.

Ask, and it shall be given you;

. . .

(Matthew 7:7a)

On each side of the relationship, there is some person that has taken responsibility for the psychological and sociological well-being of the ones who are courting.  Ideally, for each one, this will be their parents.  In this outreach, the parent is not limited by biology; rather, the parent is linked by a strong feeling of trust.

Prior to serious courtship, it would be wise to allow the intercessor-parents to meet privately, with one another, to match the expectation of the man and the woman.  Ideally, the answer of the intercessor, as to the advisability of proceeding toward romantic discovery, will be yes–within interpretation of intention.  It must be assumed that you have discovered one another by passing through the procedure that was outlined by Jesus Christ . . .

. . .

seek, and ye shall find

. . .

(Matthew 7:7b)

On the human side, the interpretation may be as simple as saying, “You’re both adults; you decide.”  It may also be as complex as saying, “Your religious beliefs are such that you cannot perform joined worship.”  This is much like the statement of a physician, telling you of blood type issues that will adversely affect the ability to have children.

Collateral Damage and the Heart of God (First Consideration)

October 21st, 2013

+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+

Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.  In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity, The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

(Ezekiel 1:1-4)

There is grandeur to the glory of God–of such a magnitude that, we, humans, cannot condense it into our neat intellectual packets of understanding.  The condensation can only be done by the LORD.  That is the premise from which we start.  To that premise, we add this insight . . .

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

(Isaiah 55:10-11)

In this evaluation of collateral effect, we will review some Bible history.  To begin, we will concentrate on the time that is before the Scripture that in included below.
