The Over All Administration

In the time of Moses and the prophets, righteousness involved a leveled approach to clearing away the guilt; a leveled approach that started with the physician putting himself in a sterile environment: this is much like the preparation that a surgeon does before entering the operating theater. First, the spiritual preparations had to be completed; similar to laying out the surgical instruments, equipment, and materials (including the soap for scrubbing and the sterile gloves). Scripture describes such a period of preparation that involved the spiritual surgeon, Aaron, the high priest. The congregation, in general, and Aaron, specifically, suffered a trauma that required spiritual healing.

And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died; And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

(Leviticus 16:1-2)

In Aaron’s period of emotional trauma, the LORD delivered the instructions on what preparations are required for remediation.

Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering. He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.

And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

(Leviticus 16:3-5)

Then, there is the preparation for the cleansing of the spiritual surgeon, Aaron.

And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.

(Leviticus 16:6)

Also, there are preparations that are required for the healing of the patient.

And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat. And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD’S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering. But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

(Leviticus 16:7-10)

Once the preparation of the spiritual environment had been completed, then the spiritual physician needed to remove any spiritual impurities that could infect the congregation–which is the patient.

Kingdoms of Man: Part Seven (Empowerment)

To begin our study of the empowerment of the kingdom of man, here is the definition of this piece of the kingdom of man.

And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.   They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 

(John 17:13-19)The word of God, as expressed by the prophets, is an image of the Word of God, which is the power of God. The LORD described the fact of the truth of God.

Government of the people, 

But not by the people

   Moses, Aaron and the priests were the institutional support for the care of the people; including, their physical, psychological and spiritual well-being. The workload of Moses, and Aaron and the priests was definitely not trivial; for, the people of the congregation of Israel were animated in their demand for public services. To give you an introduction to the mood of the people, here is an incident in the life of the congregation of Israel that incorporates at least two of their requirements for support: such as would be provided by a modern fire department, and public welfare–as in, food stamps in the cities of the United States of America.

And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp. And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.

   And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.

And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic: But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

   And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium. And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil. And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.

   Of course, the LORD knew what the people needed. Of course, too, the LORD knew what the people wanted. However, to move the people to the end of their journey, the needs and the desires were kept apart from one another. This did not please the children of Israel; they wanted the desires to be meshed with the needs, and then fulfilled as if they were requirements. This is not a socialist thing to do; wherefore since God is a Socialist, this could not be done. Let us look at some of the real needs that can be satisfied under a socialist system, as was done in the wilderness days of the congregation of Israel.

Kingdoms of Man: Part Six (Attitude)

   Before we can move further in our mastery of dominion–from the type of behavior that was expressed by Adam and Noah–we must have a portfolio of tools that we can use to move forward. These tools must be ones that have been provided by the LORD. In the Old Testament time, these tools are being released to the nations of the world; for later absorption by each individual of the world. As we move ahead, we will look at some of the tools that were released to the nation; some of which we will absorb into our own purpose for existence. Moses summarized the reason that the tools of the LORD were provided for the nation of Israel.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?   Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons; Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.(Deuteronomy 4:5-10)   The Law of God is a transferable tool, which was given to the children of Israel. However, in the time of Moses and the prophets, this tool was not pressed into the other peoples of the world. You can imagine that the LORD could have commanded everyone to follow the rule of the Law; but God did not do that. This is another part of the progressive development of the kingdom of man, as set in motion by God. The apostle Paul describes the state of the kingdom of man, in that day. This is a state that definitely had to change.

Group Dynamic

   It seems that there was a thirteen-part organization that was too big to fail. In this case, the main distributor showed an extreme amount of bias in the distribution of the bailout funds. The main distributor favored his family, over an entire world of people. This is pork barrel government at its finest; isn’t it?

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live?   

   And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you.

   And they came near.

And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

   Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast: And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.

Kingdoms of Man: Part Five (Quickening)

   The first stop on our quest for understanding is to delve into corporate responsibility. Let me be candid, and admit that this may seem to be backward. As individuals, the first thing with which we feel comfortable, is concentrating on our individual portion of the kingdom of man; and, too, of the Kingdom of God, as it relates to the kingdom of man. This may be the easiest way to visualize the purpose of the kingdom of man, but it is the wrong approach. The LORD God laid out the proper approach, in the flow of the Scripture. It starts with the designation of a nation of priests. 

And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.   And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.   And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do.    And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.(Exodus 19:3-8)…

Part One 

Forging a Mold

We begin our study of God the Socialist with the example that he gave us in Jacob’s son, Joseph: let us set the authority for the example. First, please realize that natural phenomena are the sole territory of the LORD, so far; and, especially, in the day of Joseph. To give the example of Joseph its authority, the LORD set a natural phenomenon in the path of Joseph, in the kingdom of Pharaoh, in the land of Egypt. (The phenomenon was introduced as a part of a prophetic gift to Pharaoh.)

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it. And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river: And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow: And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness: And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine: And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning.

So I awoke.

And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good: And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them: And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears:

and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.

Kingdoms of Man: Part Four (Purpose)

Sometimes, when I look around me, I ask myself, “Why did God ever bother to make a kingdom of man.” This topic may cause some debate, but let me introduce it anyway. It seems that God already has a community of willing participants in reality, up to the point where Genesis 1:1 was invoked. This became sort of obvious later in the book, when the LORD God said, “Let us”. This means that there was something, other than the LORD God, already–sorry, but I do have to use a kingdom of man word, here–existing before Genesis 1:1. Even if we go with the rhetorical mode of the, us, in the, Let us; we are still left with the fact that this indicates that God had a notion of there being something else, besides Himself: this thought, by itself, constitutes the existence of something else; for, what the LORD thinks is automatically in existence. The LORD speaks, in a slightly indirect fashion, of this aspect of His mind.

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: I bring near my righteousness: it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.(Isaiah 46:9-13)

A Place for Judicial Activism?

Kingdoms of Man: Part Three (Proving)

In the early part of the outfitting of the kingdom of man, two of God’s finest creations had a difficult time with the truth. . . .

We have paused in the flow of the discussion because we have not laid the foundation for your understanding of why the truth is significant in the kingdom of man. In fact, we have not yet laid the foundation for what truth is, in the kingdom of man. So, let us go back to the flow of, Let us, which include the driving forces in the crafting of who we are. We have already covered the fact that God is the First Cause of everything. From Him, come the derivatives that we see all around us. I will let the apostle Paul explain it.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them.For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
