At the end of that day in which the LORD removed the ability of mankind to totally destroy mankind, the most difficult part of the assignment for the kingdom of man was introduced to the people of the world. At that time, we were told that we had to practice, and begin to perfect, negotiation. Among the people studying the history of the kingdom of man, are some ones who know that this process actually started in one of the most brutal of the four stages of development of the kingdom of man. This process actually started in Rome. Unfortunately, it was one of those, things of the flesh, as sent forth from Rome. The current word for it is politics. Politics was applied to the people of the LORD, and it produced very poor results, from the perspective of righteousness. Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
(Daniel 9:24-27)Still, the people of God were, and are, under a mandate from the LORD; a mandate that requires us to honor God’s choice of systems for the kingdom of man. In other words, we have to respect the political organizations that have been put in place for us. This can be done in a somewhat quiet fashion by honoring the laws that are in effect where we live. Here is an example of the way we may do this….
